Lived up to the Luxury Billing

点评：While our 6 grandsons were off on a Halibut fishing boat, the other 8 of us enjoyed to the max our day of Luxury "Touring". Our driver, Kevin, picked us up at the dock and delivered us to the yacht with commentary along the way, based on his extensive time in Juneau. On the yacht, we were greeted by the captain, Shannon, and the naturalist, Anna. Both turned out to be experts in their roles, actually knowing the several whales we saw "personally", i.e., by name once we spotted their tail patterns. They not only took us right to the best places to view the whales, they used other resources such as ship captains and tail-tracking books and online sites to add an extra dimension to spotting the several whales we saw. The yacht sat our 8 comfortably, even in the rain while we stayed under cover. Once the skies cleared and the back deck was an option, we had more than enough space. The quality of the meat and cheese tray was great, but for 8 of us on the boat for close to 4 hours, we tapped into our own snacks, too. The drinks were varied and plentiful. The land component was much simpler, focused on the salmon hatchery and a short drive around town. All in all, the tour lived up to the Luxury label and we'd heartily recommend it.
