Farringford Historic House and Gardens的点评
点评：A real hidden gem on the Isle of Wight. The gardens are amazing, so colourful, & alive with butterflies & bees. Very peaceful & easy to find a quiet spot to relax & have a picnic. (There’s no onsite cafe so need to take your own food & drink) Definitely book a tour of the house - the interior is fabulous & extremely well restored. The audio guide was easy to use & full of information giving you a real insight into Tennyson & his family’s life - there’s even a recording you can listen to of him reciting The Charge of The Light Brigade!! It’s a shame you can’t take photos inside the house but understandable as to why. Plenty of guides around the house who were very friendly & knowledgable. A morning very well spent. Worth noting the Needles Breezer open top bus stops right outside.
