Outstanding first experience at pottery making
Lao Pottery House的点评
点评：I visited the Lao Pottery House earlier this week as part of a trip to Luang Prabang. What an experience. I was greeted by Thieng Lamphet when I arrived and treated to a great lunch of Lao cuisine. I was introduced to many new flavors and ate Lao style using sticky rice as my eating utensils.
Next was a try at the pottery wheel. After watching a demonstration of making a small pot, I was able to try my hands making two small pots. Not perfect, but the second was better.
Next we took a tour of a village where families work the craft passed down for generations. I was able to watch an older gentleman expertly make a very large gardening pot. It was impressive to watch him methodically work from the base to final completion.
I highly recommend a visit to the Lao Pottery House. Thieng is a great host. You'll be impressed and have fun.
