点评:Be aware that it is legal to have a concert until 2am right where all the hotels are located in Puerto Baquerizo. Tourists who come all the way to the Galápagos Islands are not here to party. We can do that in Miami for 1/4 of the price. We pay ALOT of money to go on tours that leave at 6 or 7am. These tours start at USD120 p/p and can go up to USD250p/p. I am sure i am not alone in my irritation that we absolutely could not sleep with the loud music. Every night that we were here, the political parties were broadcasting loud speeches and going around and around the main tourist strip honking their horns. It was sad to see the restaurants empty because tourists don’t want to eat where you can’t have a conversation due to political rallies. This town depends on tourism and post-covid everyone was saying that tourism is way down. Furthermore, for a town that promotes the environment, the concert goers left all their garbage all over the ground. Really shameful. FYI, municipal elections are in March. If you come, think twice about staying in the port area and definitely bring ear plugs. I suggest that the businesses in this area get together and lobby for laws which ban concerts that go past 10pm and also the incessant motorcades with the honking in tourist areas.
