The perfect Safari operator with experienced drivers

点评：We booked a safari in Kenya and Tanzania with Mufasa. Everything went super smooth from the moment we contacted them until the booking was made, so we could focus on looking forward to our trip only. It was our first safari, so we were a bit nervous on what to expect. However, the moment we met our guide we knew everything was going to be perfect.
Philip, our guide in Kenya, was extremely professional, polite and accomodating. He gave amazing explanations of all animals and was super respectful with them, keeping safe distances to not distress them, something we value a lot and we could see other drives were not doing. He was quick at pivoting into a solution when we faced an issue (such as a big traffic jam on our way to Masai Mara that would have taken us a few extra hours). We had an amazing bush lunch with him, a quite unique moment on our safari. We told him we wanted to see elefants, and he went above and beyond to take us to the area of the park where he knew the elephants were, even though we should have been heading back to our hotel, he didn’t mind extending the game drive to see the elephants. Overall, Philip was an outstanding guide and gave us a hard-to-match first encounter with the safari experience.
The bar was very high with Philip, but Ali, our guide in Tanzania, managed to go even higher! We saw a Mara river crossing just few hours in our Serengeti trip, all because of his extensive knowledge. He even guided other cars to the spot because he knew the crossing was coming soon. Only experienced guides could know this information. We saw many more animals in Northen Serengeti with him. And the day after, we saw another crossing. Two crossings in two days!
In central Serengeti, we spotted cheetas, leopards and other rare animals with him. It was 4.30pm, so we started to head to our hotel when Ali took a detour and told us he had heard something on the radio, so he would drive there to give us a surprise. When we got there, there was a rhino (in Serengeti park!). He wanted us to have this experience beacuse it was unique. Other drives would have turned back because it was quite late, but Ali took us there. We saw all the big 5 in one day, even he said he had only seen all of them in one day once in his life, giving us a really unique safari experience. He also respected the animals a lot, which is quite important for us.
Both enployees spoke highly of Mufasa management and thir value, which for us is important, because we can see the drivers are treated well and are happy (they do the heaviest lift!). This makes us proud to choose Mufasa as our safari operator.
We knew we needed to manage our expectations when it comes to wildlife spotting, and our guides kept reminding us, because nature is unpredictable, but we saw many unique things with both of our guides thanks to their dedication and passion for what they do. We will never forget this experience
Our accomodation in both Kenya and Tanzania was also fantastic, we went with a slightly luxurious package because we wanted to be comfortable during our safari, and Mufasa was extremely accomodating to our budget and rrquirements.
Overall, I would choose Mufasa again and would tecommend it to everyone I know.
