点评:I purchased a ticket and went up to the Observation Deck. Nagoya doesn’t have the most interesting skyline, but it was still a nice thing to do. There isn’t much to see or do on the deck itself, though there are a few information placards pointing out key landmarks around the city. I visited during the day, but it might be better in the evening. I spent around thirty minutes on the deck before leaving. The construction of the tower reminded me a little of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and it looks lovely at night when illuminated. To be honest, there isn’t much to do in Nagoya, and I had time. The admission fee was only ¥1,300 for an adult (May 2026). This tower, originally the Nagoya TV Tower, was built in 1954 as part of the city’s post‑war reconstruction and urban planning, serving both tourism and television broadcasting. Nagoya TV Tower Co., Ltd. has since partnered with Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. on community coexistence initiatives to support regional revitalization and energise the Chubu region. As part of this, the tower was relaunched in May 2021 under its new name, “Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER.”
