Green Space!
Walthamstow Wetlands的点评
点评：This was a bit of a gem. When I think of London, wetlands and wildlife is not what I imagine. But as I was browsing Google maps and looking at the area around my hotel, I saw this big green space and thought that I need to have a look at that. I do quite like my green spaces.
And it didn't disappoint, whilst it was also a very industrial area with all those reservoirs, it was fascinating to roam around. Well, the areas that we could roam given that large sections were being upgraded and rebuilt by the water company in charge of it.
But the juxtaposition of the city as a landscape and this quiet green area was striking. The Engine House looked interesting and the shop had some good items, but I didn't have the backspace for any of it.
What it could do with more of were picnics benches and overlooking trees to provide shelter.
I'd still very much recommend this place to visit, especially if you just need some space to unwind and relax.
