点评：Amelia Island is know for Fort Clinch State Park where you can camp and also tour a Fort! The Fort does not disappoint and is worth seeing for the history even though it did not see battle. The Fort also has a Visitor's center and gift shop. You can also visit the little museum that explains the history of the fort. The Visitor's center has clean bathrooms, which are the only bathrooms in that area so make sure to use them if needed before heading out to the Fort. Every month on the first full weekend, they have volunteers that dress up in authentic attire and walk around and talk with the guest making the experience even more genuine. The top area of the walls offer beautiful views of the beach and ocean surrounding Fort Clinch. The tunnels and winding staircases are fun to explore. It is definitely a place to bring the family or even explore on your own.
