点评：We traveled through Scotland with Dave in July, and I can genuinely say it was one of the best vacations we have ever taken. Having him with us transformed the entire experience.
From the moment we set off each day, every hour felt rich and full. Dave knew the stories, history, anecdotes, hidden corners, and places we never would have discovered on our own. He took us beyond the obvious tourist stops to beautiful, off-the-beaten-path places that became some of our favorite memories of Scotland. And because he handled all the driving, navigation, parking, timing, and logistics, we could simply experience it. At busy locations, he would drop us exactly where we needed to be and deal with the car himself. We never wasted precious vacation time figuring out roads, looking for parking, or wondering where to go next.
As a working couple with limited vacation time, that was invaluable. When we travel, we want to make the most of every day, and with Dave, we absolutely did. Somehow the days felt packed without ever feeling rushed.
But what really made the trip was Dave himself. He is incredibly knowledgeable, but he's also funny, cheeky, warm, and just genuinely great company. We clicked with him immediately, and by the end of the trip, it felt much more like traveling with a friend who happened to know absolutely everything about Scotland.
An unexpected bonus was his photography. My husband is a photographer, and Dave knew exactly where to take him for incredible shots. He also took wonderful photos of the two of us throughout the trip, which meant we came home with actual photographs together instead of a vacation documented entirely in selfies!
Hiring a private guide is obviously an additional expense, but after this experience, I see it completely differently. For us, it was one of the best investments we could have made in our vacation. We saw more, learned more, relaxed more, and experienced Scotland in a way we simply could not have done on our own.
Dave has genuinely changed the way I want to travel. If we could take him with us to every country, we would. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
