Our first Canal Boat experience

点评：Just returned from a long weekend Narrow boat Canal trip on The Kenneth and Avon Canal with Black Prince Holidays based at Bradford on Avon. We were a group of five friends ( ages 40-70 ) and this was the first Canal holiday for all of us.
The booking process was straight forward and when we arrived the staff were very helpful and friendly and suggested we stow all our luggage on board then they would go through the workings of the Boat with us, this was very comprehensive and then came the time to set off. A staff member guided us out and through the first lock ( which is adjacent to the Marina). Stayed with us until we felt comfortable then left us to our own devices, our Boat was about 65ft long with three comfortable bedrooms , two toilets ( one with shower) a small but well equipped galley and seating/dining area. Maneuvering took a little getting used to as the section towards Bath was busy but it doesn't take too long to master the basics, the Black Prince staff gave plenty of useful advice about places to eat and where to tie up for the night , all in all a most enjoyable experience, two of our party felt it wasn't really for them, this wasn't because of any issues with Black Prince who couldn't have been more helpful, personally, I loved it and would happily go again and certainly with Black Prince!
