Alara Grand Bazaar has a huge selection of shops selling clothes, bags, shoes, souvenirs, spices, and much more. If you enjoy browsing and bargaining, you can definitely find some good deals.
However, the shopping experience can be quite exhausting. Many sellers constantly try to stop you, pull you into their shops, and persuade you to buy. It often feels like the focus is on getting as much money from tourists as possible rather than letting people shop comfortably.
Another downside was the taxi service in the area. We were quoted different prices for exactly the same distance by different drivers, so make sure to agree on the fare before getting into the taxi or ask for the meter to be used.
Overall, Alara Grand Bazaar is worth visiting if you enjoy markets, but be prepared for persistent sales tactics and always negotiate prices.
