点评：Having the afternoon free after the morning visit to Volcanoes NP, we left from Kinigi by self-driving and via Ruhengeri and Kinyababa we arrived at the boat pier located at the northern end of Lake Ruhondo. The road is entirely paved, only the final part to reach the pier is unpaved and bumpy, so it's best to have a 4x4. At the end of the road there is a very small parking area where some local young people help you to park and then ask for a payment for the parking. Being a couple we rented one of the boats for the two of us and with the captain, sailor and local guide we went to the boat tour of the lake. In the very calm waters we went south, sailing around the islands, admiring the nature and the activity of the locals. We could not photograph the tops of the volcanoes because they were covered by clouds. The guide gave us a lot of information and we made a stop at the Ruhondo Beach Resort at the end of the long peninsula that divides this lake in two. A pleasant stop during which they offered us a drink. We then continued to the north-east corner of the lake where the twin lakes are very close, even though Lake Burera is at an altitude of 60 m higher, a difference in altitude used to produce electricity. During this pleasant and relaxing navigation on the lake, we were able to observe a limited number of bird species, including the yellow-billed kite (Milvus aegyptius), the pied crow (Corvus albus), the great egret (Ardea alba), the little egret (Egretta garzetta), the white-breasted cormorants (Phalacrocorax carbo lucidus), the reed cormorant (Microcarbo africanus africanus), the African sacred ibis (Threskiornis aethiopicus) and the red-knobbed coot (Fulica cristata). We didn't see any mosquitoes or annoying insects. A peaceful boat trip that gives us the sensation of sailing, if not for the local boats and the very few people on the shore, more in an Alpine lake context than in Africa.
