点评：Fascinating history of the history of the Filton site. I am not a technical person, I was there as I like local history, so the museum catered for my interest by showing the beginning of the story at the Filton site, and then through the two wars and up to the modern day. There was a lot of emphasis on the people who worked there, including a surprsing amount of women, who often don't mentioned in industrial history.
I booked to do the WW2 in Filton expereince (not included in the admission but only £4 extra) This included a visit to the recently renovated WW2 bomb shelter behind the museum, where we were told about the wartime bombing of the factory. The guide was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer questions.
I have seen comments on here about the restaurant being over-priced, but I thought it was pretty reasonable; I have certainly expereienced more expensive at other heritage attractions. For me it was important that it was good food and clean- and the staff cleared tables quickly.
Concorde itself was an experience- in her own hangar and illuminated, she is the star of the museum. Well worth a visit! My only issue was the walk between the main museum and the Concorde hanger- I managed to walk the wrong way and miss the door. Better signs maybe? Also, it would have been nice to have some exhibits outside along the route, to extend the museum to in between the two buildings as well!
