No signage because Ealing Council won't pay, unbelievable. A brown tourist sign costs £39. I'll pay.

点评：I've lived in Ealing for 40 years and remember when there was a small zoo in Walpole Park, I decided it was time I visited Hanwell Zoo. I drove from Ealing Broadway and there was not a single sign the whole way, even after I'd parked. Unbelievable.
The receptionist said Ealing Council wouldn't pay for one and the ones the zoo put up were taken down. A brown Tourist sign costs £39, google it, I'm happy to pay for one.
The capybara, which I wanted to see, has died. Regulations require a heated pool which I was told the zoo can't afford. Everyone wants to see a capybara (the world's largest rodent) how much is a heated pool? Why not start a fund? A recommended minimum size of pool/pond is 9 ft x 16 ft with a depth of 4 ft. The pool or pond should have a few shallow places where the capybara can sit and rest while still remaining mostly or partly submerged. £15K?
I came early, 10.30, there were 4 parking spaces left, the website (states its a work in progress) offers no alternative parking (all residents parking nearby) and the finding us/directions button doesn't work.
The enclosures were generally small, the flamingoes were stunning, donkeys, goats, alpacas were munching on their hay nets, maybe hang the nets closer but not touching distance from the fences.
It needs about £500K spending on it but one or two decent properly fixed brown Tourist signs at £39 is critical and directions if you are coming by public transport or the car park is full.
The cafe closed in September, this should be put on the website, I understand they are looking for someone to take it on.
Does anyone read these reviews, there's no indication on the website if there is a board of trustees and who is in charge.
