1903 Lounge - T2的点评
点评：In October last year we booked to use the 1903 lounge ahead of a flight to Barbados on 16th January. On the evening of 13 January I received an email to say that due to ‘higher than expected demand’ our booking had been cancelled. I checked the airport website which showed the booking was live and this remained so even as we set off for the airport on Friday. On arrival at the lounge we were refused admission. Others behind us were allowed entry and one couple confirmed to me that they had only booked the previous week.
The Manager refused to give a proper explanation and said there was nothing he could do. Our booking continued to show as live but he refused to reconsider. Our payment had not at this time been refunded and did not return to our account until the middle of the following week.
We were left with no options.
From other reviews it is clear we are not alone.
On returning to the country I complained and after 2 weeks received an email rejecting my complaint as they say their terms enable them to cancel for operational reasons and that those customers rejected are randomly selected. How can it be right that people who book later are prioritised over customers who booked and paid months in advance?
There was no operational reason given. It was simply overbooking. They had our money for over 3 months and have not even offered interest.
We wanted a restful start to our holiday but have been left humiliated and stressed by this experience.
Avoid this lounge if you wish to have a peaceful start to your next trip from Manchester.
