点评:I took my wife here for her birthday. She had been wanting to try it for quite some time. We had a wonderful experience.
First impression is class and opulence. The dark wood walls and ceiling along with two chandeliers create a great atmosphere. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and gave us several recommendations. My wife and I each decided to “live it up” and go with the chef’s selection - a four course meal picked by the chef. When each plate came out, Chef Tony also came out to explain everything that was on the plate. The first course was a scallop atop a shiitake mushroom with a lobster bisque surrounding it. The scallop was absolute perfection. Course two was a braised short rib and gnocchi. The short rib melted in your mouth and was covered with froi gras. The third course was sea bass and lobster with wasabi mashed potatoes and grilled bok choy. The bok choy was surprisingly good. The fourth and final course was dessert - coconut cake and various macarons covered in cream. The dishes were outstanding and very filling.
This dining experience turned out to be the most money we have ever spent on a special occasion meal, but was well worth it. Kataya delivered a top notch dining experience right in our hometown.
