The Best Way to See and Photograph Iceland

点评：I went on the 10-day Around Iceland September Fall Photo Workshop (September 12-22, 2025). My hobby is nature photography. This is the best way to see and get a feel for Iceland, and worth the expense. The Arctic Exposure staff was great; ever helpful and accommodating, and always keeping us informed. Our vehicle was a Mercedes Sprinter van, customized for travel in Iceland and very comfortable to ride in, even on rough highland roads. Our guide/driver was superb: He was personable, knowledgeable, always accommodating, and knew the country like the back of his hand. From the shores to the highlands, we got to see and photograph a wide array of subjects, including massive glaciers, stunning waterfalls pouring into steep canyons, the incredible Northern Lights, vast landscapes, and more. One of my favorites was coming into direct contact with and photographing an orphan reindeer that roamed one of the highland settlements. We traveled constantly, the hotel accommodations and food were good, and the group I was with was small and very friendly. While typical Icelandic weather did limit photographic opportunities at a couple of points, the weather generally cooperated. I also benefitted from being able to fly my drone, as permitted by our guide, and take some amazing photographs and videos of some of the places we visited. I have been to Iceland twice before and this was, without a doubt, the best, most interesting, and fulfilling visit of all. I would do it again.
