The first part is at the Farm where you walk through the orchard to see the cacao trees and learned about how the trees grow, harvesting the pods, and drying of the beans. After the field visit, we headed to the tasting area and learned how to taste chocolate like a connoisseur. We learned how to smell it, chew it to bring out the flavor, and determine its smoothness. We also learned about the entire chocolate making process. The first 5 tastings included a pure Hawaiian 85% cacao bar, a pure Hawaiian 70% cacao bar, a barrel aged bourbon bar, a coconut milk chocolate bar and a goat milk chocolate bar. Then you drive into town to the store where you see all of the processing equipment and also get to sample an additional 4 other chocolates.
