The Best Way to Experience Scotland is with Andy the Highlander!

点评：We had the absolute best experience with Andy the Highlander and Highlander Tours. We actually ended up doing **two tours with Andy** during our time in Scotland: a full-day private scenic tour and an Outlander group tour. Both were absolutely top tier, and by the end of our time together, we were lucky enough to walk away with not only incredible memories, but a new friend.
Experience: 5/5 — Both tours were highlights of our trip for completely different reasons. The private scenic tour gave us the chance to see some truly spectacular parts of Scotland at a relaxed pace, while the Outlander tour was such a fun and immersive way to experience the filming locations and the history behind them. Andy’s knowledge goes far beyond the usual tour-guide facts. He’s a natural storyteller and has a way of making Scottish history, culture, and the places you’re visiting come alive.
Admission fee: Excellent value, especially considering the quality of the experience and the amount of knowledge and personality Andy brings to every tour.
Length of visit: Perfect. Our private tour was a full day and never once felt too long or rushed. The pacing of the Outlander group tour was equally well done, with enough time at each location to actually enjoy and appreciate it.
Atmosphere: Fun, relaxed, authentic, and incredibly welcoming. Even on the group tour, the experience felt personal rather than like you were simply being moved from one tourist stop to another.
Crowd size: We loved experiencing both sides of Highlander Tours. The private tour was obviously incredibly personal, but the group Outlander tour still felt intimate and engaging. Andy makes a point of interacting with everyone and creating an atmosphere where you feel like part of the experience.
Staff: Andy is truly what makes these tours so special. He’s warm, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Scotland. We met him as our guide and left Scotland considering him a friend, which probably says more about the experience than anything else could. His family members were incredible and talented as well.
Best for: Anyone who loves Scotland, Scottish history and culture, incredible scenery, or Outlander. Whether you’re looking for a private day exploring Scotland or a group tour that is actually fun, engaging, and memorable, I couldn’t recommend Highlander Tours more highly.
We booked two tours and would have happily booked a third if we had more time in Scotland. Both experiences were top tier from beginning to end, and spending time with Andy ended up being one of our favorite parts of the entire trip. If you’re visiting Scotland, put Highlander Tours on your list.
