点评：We arrived a little later than anticipated so our handover was delayed until the next day; an overnight stay at the boatyard, however, worked well as we felt refreshed and ready to continue our travels the next morning, particularly as taking responsibility for such a beautiful and precious craft seemed a little daunting…Luckily the other half rose to the challenge ( with just a little prior experience) and we were soon navigating very low and narrow bridges with relative ease…(Thank you to Sam for inspiring confidence!)
We enjoyed such a lovely break, the forecast was dire but the weather was much better then expected, just a couple of soakings on the tiller (waterproof trousers came in handy…) We explored the Clydach Gorge, delving into a little local history while enjoying beautiful views and seeking out places to eat guided by Alasdair’s map
We chose to go South but are already contemplating turning North next time and tackling those locks! Harrier here we come!
