A remarkable journey with Mamaru

点评：From the moment Mamaru met us at the airport, with a warm and welcoming smile, we knew immediately that we had chosen the right guide for our 8 day journey through the Omo Valley. What we didn’t know was how remarkable the experience with Mamaru would be. Not only did Mamaru make sure that we had intimate encounters with each and every tribe, he gave us time in between to digest what we learned and experienced at each village. For someone so young, Mamaru has a maturity beyond his age. His intellect, easy humor and emotional instincts make him the type of guide we were hoping to travel with. One that took us “off the beaten path" and the “road less traveled”. This is the type of travel we were looking for and Mamaru understood this immediately without us having to say a word. The long and absolutely gorgeous drives through the Omo Valley were made even more special by the stops we made along the way. Whether it was to have coffee, a bite to eat at a local restaurant, or have a cold beer, at each and every stop people knew Mamaru and were so happy to see him and us. We were welcomed with Ethiopia’s warm hospitality, a sense of community, and easy laughter. All this because we were traveling with Mamaru. This made the journey even more special. We did a lot of research before choosing Mamaru Ethiopian Tours for our trip. The entire trip from beginning to end went beyond our expectations. We felt truly taken care of throughout the entire trip. What a privilege to take this journey with such a special human being and incredibly professional and experienced guide. We feel truly grateful to have traveled through this beautiful part of the world with Mamaru.
