Three Bells of Fira的点评
点评：I caught the local bus to Fira which was an experience in itself ! Fira is a nice place to visit, approx 30 mins on the express bus from Perissa. It offers plenty of restaurants, shops, spectacular views across the caldera. I visited early evening to catch the sun set which was stunning. Lots of walking involved, so make sure you put on good footwear and high SPF to avoid sunburn. Restaurant prices are a bit on the high side, but Fira is worth a visit if you are in Santorini.
The only downside is seeing all the neglected, thin, malnourished cats and dogs which I found extremely upsetting. The animals were starving and pretty much left to fend for themselves. It was very sad to see their suffering. There were also donkeys lined up for those who are too lazy to use their legs to walk up Fira. For this reason alone I will not be returning to Santorini. More needs to be done to improve animal welfare across the island as a whole, and the donkey rides need to be banned completely.
