点评:I love the show "The Curse of Oak Island." I watch and enjoy every episode.
This past September I went on a tour of the Island. Following the tour, we visited a local restaurant close by for something to eat. As we waited to be seated, I noticed Jack Begley, one of the Oak Island team, in the corner having his dinner. I went up to him and just commented that I recognized him from the show and how much I loved the show. He wouldn't even look up at me but kept his head down and muttered, "Can't you see that I am eating my dinner?" I was taken back by his response. (I have always been amazed at the congenial spirit of the Lagina brothers, Rick and Marty.) But I apologized. I didn't intend to take any of his personal time away from him. Next time, Jack, maybe just a little more polite with something like, "I'm sorry, but though I would like to chat, I am taking this time to eat my dinner."
Jack, I understand that you need your personal time (quite understandable). But even thought you play a minor role on the show, being on the show means that you will be recognized by viewers. If you don't like the attention, then get off the island. You didn't give the show a positive review and left a negative impression after a great tour. Not impressed!
