点评:My wife and myself are currently holidaying in Skiathos and earlier today we went on one of the Haris-Konstantinos cruises (Review to follow).
The first stop was the famous Agios Ioannis Chapel on the nearby Scopelos Island. Fortunately, the sea conditions were favourable and our boat was able to moor up on the beach but that was just the start of two challenging stair climbs - from the Beach to the Cafe area and then upto the Agios Ioannis Chapel itself.
Both of these were made more challenging than they should have been due to a distinct lack of enough handrails. Failure to rectify this - and the sooner the better - will, at some stage, result in a serious accident which, in turn, will bring unwanted and widespread negative publicity.
If cost is the problem then early consideration should be given to levying a boat docking fee as well as introducing an Attraction Entrance Fee of Euros 5 or 10 per person? Also on the Fee front, I find it outrageous that a private organisation is permitted to charge any person waiting for his/her return boat Euros 10 for a brief rest bite on one of the many sun loungers clogging up the relatively small beach area!
As for the Agios Ioannis Chapel itself, rather underwhelming but the views - coupled with the satisfaction of having made the climb - more than make up for that!!
