点评：This tour to Calakmul Biosphere Reserve was truly the gem of our trip to Mexico — the absolute best experience we had!
We did a combination of two tours, a jungle walk and the Calakmul ruins tour, and both were incredible. The jungle walk was an extraordinary experience. From the very first moment you enter the jungle, you can feel how alive it is — full of sounds, movement, and energy. We saw wild pigs, a crocodile peeking out from the swamp, a tarantula, and many different kinds of birds. We also learned how to recognize birds by their sounds and gained so much knowledge about the beautiful trees and diverse flora.
Calakmul itself was equally amazing. The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking — endless jungle in every direction. From up there, we could hear and even spot howler monkeys, along with countless birds. Thanks to Luis, we were able to truly imagine how this place looked and felt in ancient times, which made the experience even more powerful.
Last but not least, we want to wholeheartedly thank Luis for making this experience so special. His immense knowledge, passion, and love for what he does truly shine through. He was not only an incredible guide, but also patiently answered our never-ending questions about Mexico, Mayan culture, and nature. We are extremely grateful to him for sharing his beautiful country, traditions, and nature with us.
