点评：6.1km 1.5-2hr return. 89m elevation. Bathrooms available. Eldborg í Hnappadal (Hnappadalur) is a particularly shapely crater that stands in the middle of Eldborgarhraun in Hnappadalur. Eldborg belongs to the volcanic system of Ljósufjalla. The walk is from Snorrastaðir, but from there there is a hiking trail through a thick lava field 3.4 km in the western part of the country. It is a pretty long walk and most of it is just through shrubs but the crater at the end is pretty cool to see. The final stretch up to the crater is very steep and rocky. There are some chains to help pull you up. It isn't extremely hard but if you have limited mobility you might find this quite a challenge. The path to the crater is very clear. Note: It starts just on the other side of the bridge from the car park.
