Great birding experience to camp onsite
Bowra Wildlife Sanctuary的点评
点评：Due to recent significant heavy rains, we were the only campers and the last for the season. Although we were not permitted to drive around the property on this visit ( due to the ground being saturated ), to look for birds, we had plenty to see within easy walking distance from the campsite. The camp hosts were terrific and taught us so much about the bird life. We loved the afternoon bird call. The flushing toilet and hot shower facilities were very good, modern and clean. There was a cold laundry hand wash tub and rotary clothesline available but no camp kitchen, no bbq, and no communal buildings/sitting areas. We brought our own drinking water. It was very hot in the middle of the day, too hot to go birdwatching. We wished we had brought our screen house. There were millions of flies so headnets were essential. The voracious mosquitoes also enjoyed biting through my clothes. Excellent Telstra reception but no wifi. There is a solar powered device charging station which we did not use. We stayed 4 nights on an unpowered site. Birds were everywhere and in breeding plumage. It is a basic campsite but the reason to stay is to go birdwatching early in the morning. Looking forward to our next visit.
