点评:Overall, the aquarium was mid, at best, as far as aquariums go.
The exhibits were nice, especially the large floor-to-cieling enclosure, but the information kiosk for each one presented very little information. And since it was touchscreen, it made reading difficult when lots of people were around and just flipping back and forth. There were a few knowledgeable volunteers and they were great to talk to and explain things. An audio tour option would've been nice.
The hands-on area outside was good for kids, though I was with only adults. They had a couple of play areas which kids eek enjoy - especially building your own boat out of wood and sending it down their "river" with little falls and chutes.
The penguin area was disappointing. Unless you are there at a special feeding time, you couldn't see much at all. And there didn't seem to be many demos or presentations in the entire aquarium.
Parking was free, but a disaster (we went on a Sunday) and the line was backed up - it took us 15 minutes just to be able to turn into the parking lot (mainly because people wait at the front of the U-shaped lot and creep along, following those walking to their cars). The restrooms were similar - small be had wait times.
Like the title says, it was a nice aquarium but not worth the $40/person price. I'm glad I can support research at the university, but this was way overpriced for the experience.
