Pearse Lyons Distillery的点评
点评：I learned about Pearse Lyons through a webinar. My wife and I already had a trip to Dublin planned and added the tour to our itinerary.
Pearse Lyons is a family owned distillery that also distills bourbon in Kentucky. It is small Irish whiskey distillery, making about 6,000 barrels a year. I would highly recommend the Pearse Lyons tour. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the quality and experience.
The history of the church Pearse Lyons occupies goes back almost a thousand years and the family has gone to great expense to restore the building, including the beautiful glass spire. Additionally, the history of the Liberties, the neighborhood Pearse Lyons is in, is equally important.
We were surprised that the tasting included gin. My wife and I do not like gin, but we tried it. The gin was made with lavender and it was wonderful! We also tried a rhubarb gin. Again, I was shocked how much I enjoyed it. We ended up buying a bottle.
Tiernan was our host. He took the extra time to show us the Gin School. Groups of up to 18 people can creat their own gin with your choice of botanicals & fragrances. What a great group activity!
