点评：Firstly- where is this beach? You can only access it next to the Golf Course. The beach next to the pier is Kennon Cove Beach -as per maps. Follow Golf Links Road - about half way down the green, you will be able to drive into the carpark area towards the beach. There are two access points- the first one has stairs with a viewing deck. The second lower carpark, you walk through the dunes to arrive at the beach.
The beach is a moody, Jekyll-and-Hyde coastal spot on the Mornington Peninsula where rugged basalt cliffs meet a sprawling marine sanctuary. It’s a place to find weedy sea dragons in the low-tide rock-pools, treasure-hunt for lost golf balls near the fairway, and witness dramatic waves crashing over rocky reefs.
The shore near the golf course is a veritable treasure trove for lost Titleists; you can practically fill a bucket with "found" golf balls without trying.
At high tide, it’s a narrow strip of pebbles and sand; at low tide, a massive, muddy-mushroom-shaped rocky reef (the Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary) appears like a giant, slippery treasure hunt.
It’s the perfect place to explore when you want to feel tiny against huge nature or, conversely, feel like a giant exploring a miniature, seaweed-filled world.
