Murder Hole Beach的点评
点评：We have lived in Ireland for 15 years and spend almost every Sunday exploring this beautiful country with our dog. Unfortunately, our recent visit to Murder Hole Beach was the first time we have ever encountered such hostility here.
When arriving at the payment gate, there is a clear sign stating that dogs must be kept on a lead. We accepted this rule and continued on the path. Only later—further along the route towards the beach—is there a second sign saying that dogs are not allowed at all, even on a lead. These two signs directly contradict each other, and it is very easy to miss the second one. We only noticed it on our way back.
As we returned, the landowner approached us aggressively. Instead of speaking respectfully, he immediately asked if we were able to read and addressed us in a rude and demeaning manner. We explained several times that we had simply not seen the second sign, apologised sincerely, and clarified that our dog had remained on a lead at all times.
Despite our apology, he continued to verbally attack us and even said he did not want people “like us” in his country—clearly referring to our nationality. This behaviour is completely unacceptable. An honest mistake caused by contradictory signage does not justify xenophobic or racist comments.
It is extremely disappointing that such a beautiful place is overshadowed by an individual who chooses intimidation over communication. No visitor—local or foreign—deserves to be treated this way. What should have been another peaceful Sunday turned into a deeply unpleasant experience due to this man’s behaviour.
