点评:I was in Philly visiting from D.C. last week and decided to try this tour because I’m a big music fan. I didn’t really know what to expect, but it ended up being such a cool experience!
The guide was amazing—super knowledgeable and passionate about Philly’s music history. I loved learning about how The Philadelphia Orchestra got its start and discovering the story behind the 'Philly Sound,' which I didn’t realize was such a big deal. The Wanamaker Organ was definitely a highlight, especially since the guide mentioned it will be closing in March. Seeing it up close and hearing it play was incredible—it’s one of those things you don’t really get until you experience it in person.
The whole tour just felt really genuine and immersive, like walking through music history. I also appreciated how it wasn’t just about the big names and places, but also about how music shaped the culture of the city. If this guide has a podcast or radio show I would 100% tune in. My boyfriend said it reminded him of late 90's BBC programming (I have no idea) in that everything added up in the end.
If you love music or just want to see Philly in a different way, I’d definitely recommend this tour. It was such a memorable part of my trip!
