点评：We rented a great AirBnB on the south shore. I wanted to do (for the first time in my life) some reef fishing and maybe catch something to BBQ at the house. Our landlord recommended Marvin Adderly (exumafly . com).
What a great choice. Marvin, and his assistant, Herman, are charming, knowledgeable, patient, and excellent teachers for novices like us.
My wife and I met Marvin at 7.30 am for a half day of fishing. We cruised south for about 20 minutes in his 14-foot runabout to our first target area. Marvin coached me on how, and where, to cast my line. Initially I only caught two very small (8 inch) fish which they turned into bait. But after about 30-minutes I got a barracuda on the line. Bringing it in was tough, but very satisfying. It was about three feet long. Marvin and Herman were right next to me coaching and encouraging.
We moved about 30 minutes further south to a new area. I cast about 20+ times and got a few bites. After a while Marvin put a second pole in my wife’s hands (“two poles are always better than one,” he said). She had never fished before in her life. But, after just a few minutes she had a bite. And it was pulling very, very hard. Marvin and Herman were very encouraging and determined to help her land the catch. It was a struggle, but 8-10 minutes later, into the ice chest went a 5-pound Mutton Snapper.
Which we barbecued that night.
I highly recommend Exuma Fly.
