Nice little beach protected from northerly winds

点评：We don’t have a car and walked there yesterday. We stopped at the small market shop for spanakopita and ham and cheese pastry and apples plus some extra water in Chora, on the main town street. There is absolutely no shade on the 40min hot and humid walk in full sun so make sure you have a good ht nd sun protection.
This beach may also be called Alygria 3rd beach (most distant from Chora) and recommended as the best of the 3 but we didn’t see any turn offs to the other 2. The beach has no shade unless you re first there and can get the shelters southern part next to the cave like rocks so bring you own umbrella. At the north end of this tiny beach, just a couple of metres away is another area to set up but quite a few people already there so we didn’t visit (just around a bit of protruding rock.
The sand is a brown/grey colour and is more a ground down tiny soft pebble granules than sand but soft to lie on. The water is so clear and a beautiful blue colour. It’s a bit cool t first but lovely once you are in. We spent a few hours then walked back 5mins to the main road and took a 2min walk to Lioliou Beach which is on the south east coast and the waves and and beach conditions are a result of the constant northerly winds present in the area and it is not pleasant.
