点评：Mevagissey—or "Made very" if your phone's autocorrect has given up entirely—is Cornwall’s premier working fishing village where you can actively watch people do real manual labor while sipping an oat milk latte in a £90 FatFace jumper.
It’s an elite exercise in coastal juxtaposition: salty sea dogs hauling in crab pots on one side of the quay, and middle-class families furiously debating whether to buy a nautical-striped tote bag on the other.
The Mevagissey Survival Guide
* The Parking Warden (The True Hero): The local car park attendant works harder than the actual tides. Legend has it he will stay until past 7:00 PM, personally guiding your oversized SUV into a space originally designed for a 1920s wheelbarrow. Give the man a medal.
* The Food Situation: You will not starve. Want a traditional pasty? Got it. High-end seafood? Easy. A random artisanal ice cream flavor that tastes vaguely of local sea salt and existential dread? It’s probably on special.
* The Harbour: Picture-postcard perfect for a couple of hours of wandering, camera-snapping, and pretending you could survive living in a cottage with 5-foot ceilings and no central heating.
* Navigation Warning: The streets were planned during the reign of King Arthur and never updated. Mind the wing mirrors and try not to get run over by a delivery van while admiring a coastal shop window. If your like us then when waiting for your fish and chips leave a child in a wheel chair in the middle of what you think is a nice cobbled area only to realise it is the road.
