SCAM WARNING: Drunk driver, stranded without food, and 3 of 5 tour days not delivered

点评：This was the worst and most dangerous tour experience I have ever had. I booked and paid CBT Naryn for a five-day tour, but three of the five days were not delivered as booked. When I requested a EUR 400 partial refund, the manager avoided resolving it.
First, Bogoshty Pass was closed and had not opened for the season. CBT Naryn did not disclose this before taking my payment or during the trek briefing. As a result, Days 1 and 2 were effectively cancelled. Rather than receiving the advertised itinerary, we mostly sat at the campsite and rode horses beside a highway. A known seasonal closure affecting almost half of a five-day tour should have been disclosed before the tour was sold.
The final day was far worse. CBT Naryn had not arranged proper transportation back. I was left in a remote area without food for more than 12 hours, trying to hitchhike, and eventually returned to Naryn more than 24 hours late.
The driver was drunk. He had been drinking and was afraid that the police would catch him, so we had to remain in the middle of nowhere waiting for him to sober up. The transportation eventually offered was a visibly deteriorated horse truck. My photographs show horses in the rear cargo area, extensive exterior rust and body damage, and a cabin with broken and badly torn seats. This was the vehicle being used as transportation in a remote mountain area.
There was no food provided during this ordeal. Being stranded for more than 12 hours without food, without reliable transportation, and with an intoxicated driver was not merely uncomfortable; it was frightening and unsafe.
The tour was also advertised with an English-speaking guide. The guide did not speak English, making communication and dealing with these safety problems even more difficult.
I reported the incident as soon as I returned. A CBT staff member responded that the situation was "horrible." He then told me in writing that I was the second traveler to experience this kind of problem with the guide, that it was clearly becoming a pattern, and that CBT Naryn would probably stop working with him. He also said the manager inspected the location and was very unhappy with what she saw.
Despite CBT's own staff acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, Gulira Oje (+996559567685), the manager, did not resolve my complaint. She became angry, yelled at me, hung up on me multiple times, and refused to have a proper conversation about the refund. I then asked repeatedly for a calm written response, but she stopped responding to my calls and messages. I received no refund and no written decision.
I requested EUR 400 back for the three affected days. Only my deposit was paid through PayPal; CBT Naryn did not provide a receipt for the remaining payment.
This was not a small itinerary change or a matter of personal taste. CBT Naryn accepted payment for a five-day tour, failed to deliver three days properly, left me stranded and without food, provided an intoxicated driver and a badly deteriorated horse truck, and then ignored my refund request. Based on my experience, I consider this a scam and strongly warn other travelers not to book with CBT Naryn.
