点评：Our home is about 25 miles away from Saguaro National Park West so it is one of our favorite places to take guests especially if they have limited time. The drive to the park a will quickly surround you with Saguaros, other cacti and desert plants. There are photo op vistas and trail heads you can explore before you get to the visitor center. We always like to stop at the Discovery Trail also before going to the visitor center. There is limited pull off parking near the entrance to the trail. The trail itself is a paved loop rekatively flat and easy to negotiate. We have even brought guests there who had mobility isssues. There are shaded benches scatter along the trail. The trail provides a number of informational signs that describe the pkants and animals in this desert environment. The trail allows you to walk among the saguaros and other plants. You can get up close to examine the plants and take photographs. You can spend as long as you want there though an hour will give you a good experience. It is just short drive to the Red Hills Visitor Center. There is additional free parking at the center. It houses clean restrooms and a water filling station. There are addditional imformational displays and artifacts at the visitor center. You can watch an inspirational film about the park. The gift shop has an extensive inventory of national park and southwest souveniers. Helpful staff are on site. Your senior park pass covers your fees. There is a great backdrop for photographs at the center.
