点评:Had a great visit to Saguaro Natl Park West in late Feb 2026. We started at and really enjoyed the Red Hills Visitor Center where we arrived for the 0915 walking tour of the Cactus Garden led by Ranger Freddie. His ~30min talk (minimal walking) was excellent and educational and I especially loved his personal stories growing up in the senora dessert climate. Overall the National Park was less developed than we expected - more unpaved roads than we expected. There were so many cacti - truly a forest of Saguaro that looks so healthy. It was unusually warm for February so hiking was warmer than we expected and very little shade as expected. The Signal Hill trail was closed due to aggressive bees but just from the trailhead parking lot with my binoculars I could easily see the petroglyphs. We hiked the King Canyon Trail which was nice.
