Largs Sea Front的点评
点评：In my opinion Largs is a 'no-go' area for cars & pedestrians.
The main sea front car park, approached from the direction of Greenock, can only be accessed by driving through the centre & doubling back at the round-about above the railway station & bus terminals. This forces drivers into making an extra journey in the most congested areas of the town.
Once driver's complete this extra manouver they are then forced to use a lane at the entrance to the car park, that has insufficient space under a normal vehicle's turning circle.
Pedestrian crossings are absent for long stretches and are non-existent in the buisiest main street section. This causes pedestrians to attempt to weave in between slower moving cars. Disabled & less mobile pedestrians, those using busses, ferries and exiting the railway station can be forced to walk longer distances to find pdestrian crossings.
The whole driving & walking experience is similar to
'running a gauntlet' in every direction & is ultimately unsafe most of the time.
The scaffolding & pavement closure at the sea front, resulting in bus stop closures, has obviously compounded the whole problem, but things were very difficult long prior to this in my opinion.
