点评:We are both on our late 60’s and we are fit but we live in East Anglia where it is flat so this was challenging. P&O sell this as a gentle walk in the woods, it’s not. You need boots, waterproofs, water and some energy food, walker and hikers will know this holidaymakers on a cruise may not. You start at the bottom by a small supermarket (Joker) which has a toilet with a 25Nok fee which you can tap in with your phone so no need for currency. The walk starts with a 700 metre gentle path alongside the road which climbs gently and then you go through a gate and immediately hit a 15 degree slope. It’s a gravel path so when it’s wet it’s slippery so my wife needed poles for the descent (never used them before but borrowed them and boy are we glad she did). After that there is 2.5K of climbing at roughly 10/11 degrees but there are a couple of very steep parts and thankfully a couple of flat stretches. We did the sensible walk and rest and made it up in 90 minutes. It was a clear day and the views are stunning, quite lovely all the way up. Would we do it again ‘no’ are we glad we did it ‘yes’.
