点评:I am a resident and walk this beach several times each week. The homeless population has gotten so out of control that I've started referring to it as the Skid Row of Brevard County. On any given day, there are multiple tents lined up on the beach where they sleep every night and the hotels are the only ones who try to chase them off. I've had bums smelling of booze at 8am, hound me for money on my way to my car. I've overheard them complaining that they couldn't shower (in the public bathroom) because someone stole their towel.
I don't ever walk the beach in the evening because I wouldn't feel safe.
The municipalities seem to have a "not my problem" approach, but if they don't get it under control, this will definitely impact tourism, as well as property desirability.
It's such a shame.

我晚上从来不去海滩散步,因为我感觉不安全。
市政当局似乎有一种“不是我的问题”的做法,但如果他们不加以控制,这肯定会影响旅游业以及房地产的吸引力。
真是太可惜了。
