点评:This review is for the Scottsdale Arts Center ticket policy. My husband and I have been coming to shows here for years. We recently purchased tickets for 2 shows and noticed after the purchase that we were charged an extra (nearly ) 10% ticket protection charge. When I called to tell them that we did not intend to buy this, I was told that we had not opted out of the charge and therefore were required to pay. The manager said this was a new website and so (I assume) this is a new charge, or at least the automatic charge (unless I unclicked the button) was new. Only 3 people, he explained, out of hundreds, had complained. I told him that this is probably because people had not checked their bills and didn't realize they had been charged. He also told me that they are legally allowed to do this, and many sites do it. I explained that yes, many sites do ask if the customer wants ticket protection and the customer must check yes or no. But most do not automatically add it and then require people to opt out. I also explained that we are longtime customers and even if this is legal, it isn't a nice thing to do. His response was that he would pass along my message but would not refund my money. This is simply bad business and I'm so disappointed that an establishment that I have been patronizing for years would do this. I almost never write a bad review but this one stung and I felt I wanted to express my feelings.
