Wonderful experience--some suggestions
Gondwana Tours & Safaris的点评
点评：Gondwana and Christelle were essentially perfect. There is no six star rating so they don't get six stars. Some suggestions for safarigoers:
1. Allow an extra travel day to get to Maun. We did, and we needed it because Air France missed our connection to Maun and we got to our meeting on time anyway. Otherwise we would have missed a day at Nxai Pan.
2. Mid-May was the perfect time to go. No rain, the desert is still green, the baby animals are not full grown yet, there were very few mosquitoes (almost none).
3. Nights are COLD, particularly at Nxai Pan where there is no standing water to give back the heat of the day. Gloves, beanie hats, fleece, etc.
4. The camps do not have ATM's and if you plan to tip in cash get pula at the airport.
5. Meals are excellent but very formal. If you are a night-snacker, bring your own.
6. Safari is NOT strenuous at all; mostly we rode in Land Cruisers, and got very little exercise. The rides are bumpy and you sway a lot and if you have a bad back (we don't) the constant movement might trouble you.
7. The game viewing is amazing and we got excellent photos and videos with an iPhone. All camps provided charging points but wi-fi and internet are very sketchy.
