点评：I have been an avid fan of Deer Valley Resort for over 20 years. Over that time, I have seen many changes at this resort, which holds a very special place in my heart, and I am still convinced it remains one of the best ski resorts in the world.
What stands out most today is the incredible attention paid to snow quality and grooming. If you arrive right when the lifts open, you are rewarded with pristine corduroy and some of the best skiing of the day. The staff is consistently knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, and the lift operators always keep safety front of mind, especially when assisting children.
The service at Deer Valley is beyond stellar. From thoughtful communication to small personal touches, there is a real sense of care, warmth, and human connection that is increasingly rare. The food also deserves special recognition. I have never skied anywhere else where the dining is this consistently good. Every dish is clearly prepared with intention, both in flavor and presentation.
When management changes first occurred, there were visible growing pains and it was difficult to watch at times. This season, however, has made it clear that those challenges were temporary. The Deer Valley spirit has not been lost.
Tips for visitors:
Arrive about twenty minutes before opening for the best conditions of the day.
Deer Valley is famous for its turkey chili and carrot cake, and while those are worth trying, the truth is that you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.
Book ski school as soon as reservations open in the summer.
After two decades of skiing here, Deer Valley continues to earn my loyalty. It is a resort that evolves while still honoring what made it special in the first place, and that is no small achievement.
