Fort Verde State Historic Park的点评
点评：If you like military history or Arizona history, Fort Verde is a great place to spend a couple of hours. The park is clean, organized, and easy to get to, situated on the edge of Camp Verde, AZ. The park museum is well done, providing good insight into the US Cavalry garrison life and military operations during the Indian Wars period of US history.
The fort itself is a prime example of typical Western and Southwestern frontier US Army posts. It is NOT your Hollywood John Wayne-style stockade fort from the movies. The buildings are original construction and the layout of the Army garrison is true to the original.
One rating star subtracted due to the inconvenient restrooms. You'll need to get a key from the park ranger at the desk in the administration/museum building and take a hike across the parade ground, then hike back to return the key. If you're in a family group, plan your potty breaks accordingly.
