Kilimanjaro, Ngorongoro and Serengeti - a superb experience!

点评：In October 2023 my son and I made a combined trip with Shimboni Africa Tours. We climbed the Kilimanjaro and made a Safari to the Ngorongoro Crater and to the Serengeti.
For us every part of the trip was wonderful.
We started with an acclimatization day at the Shimbwe Medows Lodge in Shimbwe Village. This gave us time to prepare for the Kilimanjaro.
Also we got the opportunity to make an easy hike to the Materuni Waterfall and to get an impression of life in a Tanzanian village.
We were very happy to enjoy the hospitality and kindness of Victor and his team at Shimbwe Meadows Lodge. The accommodation was very pleasant and quiet with a stunning view on Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day.
Also the food was delicious. I especially liked the oyster -nut-sauce which I never hat tasted before.
For our Kilimanjaro tour we chose the Lemosho Route (8-day-trip). This proved to be a very good choice because on one hand it gave us enough time for acclimatization. On the other hand we had plenty of time to enjoy the magnificent and unique landscape at Kilimanjaro Nationalpark.
All in all the tour was very well organized. The equipmet provided was just right for our needs and the crew was very kind and helpful an any time. Our guide Vicent and our assistant guide Revocatus were always ready to answer any question and to give us helpful instructions. With their help we successfully reached the summit. Thank you so much!
Because we had some more days for our vacation we also went on safari to Ngorongoro Crater and to the Serengeti. Here we stayed in tents in the middle of nature and saw plenty of wildlife – the big 5 in only 2 days!
We had memorable encounters with a great variety of African animals and made magnificent photos. Our very experienced English and German speaking guide Jimmy helped us a great deal to find the animals in the wilderness.
Also on the financial side everything went well and without any problems. We payed half of the trip in advance and half of it cash on arrival. When we were on our Kilimanjaro-trip Victor kept the money that we brought to Tanzania and some of our camera-equipment safely in his house so we didn’t have to worry about anything.
I would definitely recommend Victor and his team at Shimboni Africa Tours to anyone who would like to make a trip to Tanzania. Thank you for this magnificent experience!
