Beautiful quiet lake and clean site

点评：Got back in to camping after many years now that my kids are old enough and was seeking not only a primitive campground, but a quiet one which seems is difficult these days for some reason. Look no further than lower Saranac Lake. Stunningly beautiful lake with great fishing.
Stayed at site 48 which is on a bluff and to be honest, not a great site for a family with gear since you have no choice but to dock a bit away from the site since it sits up on a rock and hike uphill about 50 yards or so. If you don't have a lot of gear, shouldn't be much of an issue but the positives are you are secluded, the view is great as you will catch the sunsets well from the bluff.
Site has a fire pit, picnic bench and privy. Plenty of dead wood around to gather kindling.
48 is only about a 15 min motorboat ride from the marina
