点评:I’ll start by saying I’m fairly street smart and well-travelled, so I’m not easily fazed—but this was one of the more uncomfortable experiences I’ve had.
The atmosphere around Boston Jerk Centre felt extremely intense, with multiple vendors being very pushy, at times rude, and even offensive. I completely understand that times are tough and people are trying to earn a living, but there’s still a respectful way to approach customers. Unfortunately, that line was crossed for me.
One particular incident stood out—being approached by a clearly drunk street vendor trying to sell sugar cane. When I politely declined, the situation escalated unnecessarily, which made things quite uncomfortable for my family.
As for the food, the jerk pork had decent flavour, but it was overcooked and dry. I know what good jerk should be, and this didn’t quite hit the mark. The jerk sausage, unfortunately, was poor.
Overall, I’d say this experience is overrated. There are better places nearby where you can enjoy great Jamaican food without the hassle.
