Knoebels - truly a vintage paradise!
克内贝尔游乐胜地的点评
点评：Our annual pilgrimage to Knoebels was, as ever, a total delight. I cannot say enough good things about coming here! As so many observe, one of my favourite things is being at Knoebels with my parents and my children - this year my nine-year-old was thrilled beyond belief to be tall enough to catch rings on the carousel!
The fact that the park is free to enter is a huge bonus - my parents are happy to join, ride a few rides and soak up the lovely atmosphere while the rest of us work our wristbands as hard as we can!
I adore wooden coasters and at Knoebels you’re lucky to have three great ones!! Obviously there’s the incomparable Flying Turns (the only coaster of its kind in the world! So lucky, queues were shorter than usual so we managed three rides!), the majestic Phoenix (my favourite from childhood!) and the super-fun Twister (still feels like a new coaster despite having been in situ for over 20 years - guess I’m getting old!).
But that’s clearly not all - Knoebels has one of the few remaining ring catching carousels left in the US and it’s the biggest treat! Having ridden several others (lovely in their own way, of course), Knoebels’ Grand Carousel is the most beautiful, and combined with the similarly historic organ, is so much fun. If you think carousels are too tame, think again - getting all the rings as you go around is a serious challenge!
Finally I have to mention the rare rides that one simply doesn’t see anywhere else - I’m thinking about the Looper (the only one currently operating), the Flyer (always amazing!) and, my personal favourite, the Satellite (sadly closed on this visit, but there’s always next year).
We travel from England every year to come to Knoebels - if you live closer, you’re so lucky. Don’t hesitate, just go!

我超爱木制过山车，在Knoebels有三条很棒的木制过山车可选，真是幸运啊！！其中当然就是无与伦比的Flying Turns了（世界上唯一一条此类过山车！真是太幸运了，那天排队的人比平时少，所以我们成功坐了三次！），还有宏伟壮观的Phoenix（我儿时最喜欢的过山车！还有超级有趣的“Twister”过山车（虽然已经运营了20多年，但玩起来仍感觉像是一台全新的过山车——看来我真的老了！）。
不过显然这还不是全部——Knoebels拥有美国为数不多仍在运作的“环圈捕捉式”旋转木马，这真是最令人开心的体验！虽然我也坐过其他几台旋转木马（它们各有各的可爱之处），但Knoebels的“大旋转木马”绝对是最美的。再加上同样历史悠久的管风琴伴奏，玩起来真是乐趣无穷。如果你觉得旋转木马太过温和无聊的话……再仔细想想吧——在游玩过程中收集到所有圆环可是一项极具挑战性的任务啊！
最后，我必须提一下那些在其他任何地方都难以见到的稀有游乐设施：比如Looper（目前唯一仍在运行的同类设施）、Flyer（总是令人惊叹不已！），还有我个人最喜欢的Satellite（可惜这次参观时它关闭了，不过明年肯定还能玩到）。
