点评:I really thought about this review. I'd love to give it a full 5 stars, but I have reservations. I've been coming to Knoebels since I was a kid, and a number of years as an adult. I moved from the area, and hadn't been back in almost 25 years, and it was a bit of a shock. The Knobels I knew as a kid is in there, somewhere. But the biggest problem seems to be everyone from everywhere found out about it. And they all showed up the only Saturday I could make it there. Great Adventure? Dorney? Forget about it. If Knoebels seems over-crowded or too expensive to you, you'll never have a great time at places like that. The parking area is huge compared to days of yore; and I swear there were five times as many people in the same space as there used to be. The waiting times for almost all rides starts at 25 minutes. Consider that before you buy all-day passes. Two great things about Knoebels are the free parking and free admission. Pay per ride. You'll get, at best two an hour. Read through some of the one-star reviews. The customer service seems to be overwhelmed. I had good experiences, except for the one poor, confused young lady who couldn't give me directions to the Cosmotron (she was pleasant, if tired). I got a chance to talk with several other workers, and they were happy to talk history of the park. There are far more picnic pavilions than years ago, the restrooms have been seriously upgraded - they needed it. The park is bigger, but not over-grown. Even with that, it just seemed slammed with too many people the day I was there. What can you do? Tell people not to come? Even with the crowds, it seemed cleaner than some larger operations, and the charm is still there. Just allow much more time to wait on line. It made it to 100 years for a reason, and I doubt it's going away any time soon. Unless you subscribe to the Yogi Berra quote of it being "so crowded, nobody goes there anymore." Also: Tried to get into the Alamo. Wait was almost 2 hours. Good news is the Phoenix Burgers are just as good as back in the day, and wait was ten minutes. And the Haunted Mansion was a bit dated in the best way, They haven't ruined it - yet. If you've never been to the park, you won't know what you're missing from years past, Your opinion may vary.
